Strategic Aim

Charlotte has both historical and strategic importance for Wake Forest University. Building on decades of business school programs, the powerful partnership with Atrium and Advocate Health and the recent launch of our School of Professional Studies, the university aims to expand its presence in Charlotte to enhance its foundation for sustained success and community impact. This move aligns with the University’s Strategic Framework focus on the Community of Partnerships.

Seven workstreams have been identified to guide Wake Forest’s Charlotte-focused efforts. These workstreams include developing a university-wide process for managing relationships with Advocate Health, building a marketing platform, engaging with alumni and friends, determining the strategy for physical presence, developing an academic strategy, expanding the community of inquiry, and establishing meaningful partnerships to promote Charlotte’s economic development and well-being. A Steering Committee will oversee the progress and integration of these workstreams.
